The Keurig B-40 K-Cup Brewer: A Perfect Gift!

Christmas is past and we have surged into the New Year yet I continue to get calls from my Father raving about his new Keurig B-40 my family gave him for Christmas!   My father has been a passionate coffee drinker for the past 42 years as I suspect many business people are either to wake-up, to stay awake, to keep going or just to have a hot drink.  Starting off with instant coffee, percolators and enduring office coffee for so man years I thought that it was time to introduce Dad to a great cup of coffee.

Keurig_B-40_Brewer.jpgIntroducing the Keurig B-40 single service brewer.  I actually took my B-50 to vacation where my Dad experienced the pure joy of making any variety of coffee or tea quickly and conveniently whenever you wanted a cup.  He loved it so naturally I had his Christmas gift planned before summer was over.

It took my Dad about five minutes to understand the instructions and about thirty minutes to have a few K-Cups of different roasts.  Because there are so many vanities of K-Cups (I believe over 200) I decided to treat him to another gift.  I bought him seven variety 10-pack samplers from www.AlpineValleyCoffee.com, my favorite K-Cup seller.

It was extremely cool.  I was able to get him a serious variety to trial (5 different K-Cups; two of each type equals a 10-pack) so I received 70 K-Cups; 35 different flavors!

And it only cost me around $42 - far better than buying three 25-pack boxes for $30 bucks and him not liking one or more of the K-Cup flavors and throwing away a ton of them or worse trying to drink something he didn't like - that would kill the experience!

So I got him a dark variety, a medium variety, a Timothy's, Gloria Jean', Coffee People and Green Mountain variety and an Extra Bold variety. I also received a free flavored variety 10-pack for buying the brewer.

He loved it has been writing down the K-Cups he enjoyed most so later he can buy his favorite K-Cups as 25-packs.  But he was really excited abut testing out the different K-Cups - probably too much because my Mom wasn't happy about him drinking five to six cups in the morning!

It was by far the best Christmas gift I have given my Dad and the one he has truly enjoyed every day since.  I can't imagine any coffee drinker not being excited by such an incredible single sup brewer!  I know I love mine!

    Response: coffee percolators
Coffee percolators once enjoyed great popularity, but were supplanted in the early 1970s by automatic drip coffee makers
