K-Cup Coffee Review: Green Mountain's National Wildlife Blend

There are three great things about Green Mountain's National Wildlife Blend:

(1) Sales of the coffee help provide habitat for songbirds and other wildlife.

(2) National Wildlife Blend uses fair trade coffee which benefits third world countries and according to Green Mountain's website,

National_Wildlife_K-Cups.jpg(3) The taste is very good.  The blend is from coffee beans from Mexico providing a unique, spicy chocolate note, and flavors of ripe, dark fruit.  In addition the blend includes Organic Central and South American coffees. From the first sip you can definitely distinguish the Central American coffee characteristics which tend to be more vibrant with a citrus finish.  I read a few customer reviews from around the Internet that called National Wildlife Blend a bit bitter.  Although "bitter" is more flavorful than what I noticed (meaning it wasn't bitter but a bit citrus at the end.)  I also added a dash of non-fat milk which may have minimize the bitterness.

Overall, I like the National Wildlife Blend K-Cup certainly as a decent alternative to the bold coffees I tend t prefer.  This K-Cup coffee is not bold.  It is a good medium roast that would drink perfectly as an afternoon or evening cup.

Best of all, proceeds go towards a great cause.
