K-Cup Coffee Review: Emeril's Big Easy Bold

If you are familiar with Emeril's personality on TV then you have  good idea what to expect from his new K-Cup Coffee called, "Emeril's Big Easy Bold."  This K-Cup is slightly rich, smokey-dry and a bit tingling to the tongue. I have read it described as "a Parisian roast flavor" and "cigarette ash flavor" (which I assume is like my smokey-dry reference since I don't smoke.)  The coffee fits what I would expect from a New Orleans style coffee.

uploaded-file-55024Emeril's Big Easy Bold does not have the BOLDNESS of Green Mountain's Double Black Diamond (read a review for it here) but it definitely deserves a spot among the bold coffees.

According to www.drinks-business-review.com, "Canada-based Timothy's World Coffee has entered into a partnership with Monogram Food Solutions to market a new line of Emeril's brand K-Cup gourmet coffees."  This was a good move considering that there are no other celebrity "branded" K-Cup Coffees.  It certainly shows the growing significance of K-Cups in the market since a big name celebrity like Emeril would only put his or her name on a high-quality item that will generate sales.  Because Emeril is about excellence and high quality, Timothy's marketing team did an excellent job choosing Emeril to represent their coffee.

I almost forgot that Green Mountain does offer Newman's Own, an excellent bold, organic coffee.  I provide a review on the Newman's Own within the month.  It has been around for a while but is definitely a perennial favorite of mine.
